The winery

For several years, Vignoble Le Cep d’Argent has been unveiling the secrets of the art of winemaking with thousands of visitors, sharing its passion for the craft. Situated in the Eastern Townships of Quebec on the shores of Little Lake Magog, the winery enjoys a mild microclimate conducive to the growing of grapes.

The owners of the winery have turned it into a tourist attraction offering a multitude of activities. Guided tours, for instance, which run from April through October, allow visitors to get a behind-the-scenes glimpse of how wine is produced. Several exterior platforms offering panoramic views have been set up in the middle of the vineyard, allowing visitors to enjoy the bucolic surroundings while tucking into a delicious meal prepared by our chef. As well, two beautiful meeting rooms are available for staging special events.

After over a year of research and numerous consultations with agronomists and meteorologists, Denis Drouin, a native of Ontario, finally came up with the ideal spot for growing vines. He subsequently teamed up with a professional French winemaker who wanted to retire and met two natives of the region of Champagne (France) whose family had produced wine – father to son –through six generations. Following a meeting in Étoges, France, Denis Drouin, Jean-Paul Scieur and François Scieur became partners – the start of a long and wonderful adventure!
